Your drive takes a battering all year round, rain, traffic, everything Liverpool’s weather throws at it. We use a 5000 PSI pressure washer with a twin-jet surface cleaner to shift years of dirt and bring your paving back to its best, whatever it’s made of.
It doesn’t need to be a headache. We turn up, crack on, and leave your block paving or concrete looking like it was laid yesterday. No fuss, no hidden costs, just a proper clean that lasts.
Moss, green algae, oil patches, weeds sprouting through the cracks, sound familiar? We see it every week on drives across Liverpool. The damp weather here is perfect for that green stuff to take hold, and leaving it too long only makes it worse.
That’s why regular cleaning is the smart play. Sodium hypochlorite deals with the algae at the root rather than just knocking the green off the top, and we flush the weeds out along with the old jointing sand so they’ve got nowhere left to grow.
First impressions start at the gate. A proper clean brings back the true colour of your paving, whether it’s block, concrete or stone. Your house looks better the moment we’re done.
That green film isn’t just ugly, it’s dangerous when it rains. Sodium hypochlorite strips it out properly, making your drive safe for the kids, the postie and anyone else stepping foot on it.
Weeds love the gaps between blocks. Our cleaning flushes out the roots and the old mucky sand, so they’ve got nowhere to grow. Fresh kiln-dried sand after and they’ll struggle to come back.
Want that clean to last even longer? A deep wash is step one. Once it’s dry, our driveway sealing protects against oil spills, sun damage and moss trying to make a return.
No two drives are the same, so we don’t treat them all the same. We check what your paving’s made of, how thick the grime is, and what pressure it can take before we dial our gear in to suit.
Whether it’s block paving, concrete, tarmac or natural stone, we know the right way to clean it. It’s about a proper result without any damage, no shortcuts, just know-how and the right kit for the job.
We don’t charge by the square metre, we price by the size of the job in front of us. Here’s a rough guide, but the exact figure always depends on the size of your drive and how much moss, algae or staining we’re dealing with.
| Driveway size | What’s included | Typical price |
|---|---|---|
| Small Single car | Full jet wash, weed removal, sodium hypochlorite and biocide treatment, free bin clean | from £100 |
| Medium Two cars | Full jet wash, weed removal, sodium hypochlorite and biocide treatment, free bin clean | from £150 |
| Large Three cars or more, wrap-around | Full jet wash, weed removal, sodium hypochlorite and biocide treatment, free bin clean | from £200 |
These are starting prices for a standard clean. Heavy moss, deep-set oil staining or block paving that needs re-sanding can push the price toward the top of each range, we’ll always be upfront about that before we start. The easiest way to get an exact figure is to send us a couple of photos on WhatsApp, we’ll usually get a firm price back to you within about 10 minutes.
First job is a proper inspection. We check the surface type, how bad the moss and dirt are, and note any areas that need a bit more care. That way there’s no surprises when we start.
We shift any loose bits, cover nearby walls and windows, and get the gear ready. Pressure gets dialled in for your specific surface. Safety first, always.
Using our twin-jet surface cleaner, we work across your drive in steady passes, spreading pressure evenly. Lifts the dirt and moss without leaving the tiger stripes you get from DIY machines. Sodium hypochlorite goes down where algae’s taken hold.
Once your drive is dry, we pop back for driveway sanding to brush fresh kiln-dried sand into the joints. This locks the blocks tight and stops weeds getting a foothold. If you’ve opted for sealing, we sort that too.
Once a year does the job for most Liverpool drives. A yearly clean stops the moss and algae getting a proper hold and keeps weeds at bay. If your drive sits under trees or in heavy shade, you might want it doing a bit more often.
We’re a family-run Liverpool business, trading since 2018, with over 200 properties restored and a 5.0 rating to show for it. We know the area, the weather, and what it takes to keep a drive looking right. No call centres, no hard sell, just honest, reliable work.
Fully insured, we turn up when we say we will, and we don’t pack up till you’re happy. Whether it’s a one-off clean or regular maintenance, we’ll look after it properly.
Give your drive a sweep every so often to stop muck building up. Pull any weeds as soon as you spot them. And try not to park in the exact same spot every day, it stops oil stains bedding in. Simple stuff that makes a big difference. If your patio needs the same treatment, we can sort both in the same visit.
Our driveway cleaning starts from £100. That covers smaller single-car drives or standard maintenance cleans. For larger areas, wrap-around block paving or long concrete entrances, the price scales with the square footage and how much growth we’re dealing with. We factor in the fuel for the pressure washer, the sodium hypochlorite we use to kill off spores at the root, and the time it takes to do the job properly. Send us a few photos on WhatsApp and we’ll get you an exact price, usually within about 10 minutes.
Usually a same-day quote for driveway cleaning enquiries. Send a few photos over WhatsApp or through the contact form and we’ll normally get a firm price back within about 10 minutes. If the job’s more complex, we’ll pop out the same day to measure up. For booking the actual work, we usually have slots within 3 to 5 working days. We’re based in Fazakerley, so we can often fit smaller jobs in between larger ones across Liverpool, Wirral and Sefton.
No, not when it’s done properly. Our twin-jet surface cleaner spreads pressure evenly, so there’s no striping or etching like you’d get from a DIY machine. The process does strip out the old, contaminated jointing sand along with the weeds and moss, but that’s actually the point, it flushes the root systems out. Once the drive’s bone dry, we come back and brush in fresh kiln-dried sand to lock the blocks together again. It’s a full restoration, not just a wash.
Usually, yes, though older stains won’t always shift completely. Concrete and block paving are porous, so vehicle fluids soak in deep over time. Fresh oil usually comes out entirely. For older, baked-in stains, we use a commercial degreaser that breaks down the hydrocarbons before a hot-wash or high-pressure rinse lifts the residue. We won’t promise 100% on years-old stains, but the improvement’s always noticeable. Tyre marks are rubber deposits and come off much easier.
Generally once every 12 to 18 months. Liverpool’s damp weather is a perfect breeding ground for moss, green algae and black spot lichen. Leave it longer than two years and organic growth can start pushing up the blocks or making the surface properly slippery. Regular cleaning stops that build-up and makes each clean faster too. Some customers opt for a light biocide top-up every six months to keep moss at bay without a full pressure wash every time.
